SaunaMap Liability Waiver

This Liability Waiver ("Waiver") applies to your participation in any sauna experience booked through SaunaMap ("the Platform"). By checking the box to agree to this Waiver during booking, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to its terms.

This Waiver supplements, and does not replace, SaunaMap's Terms & Conditions, which you separately agree to at booking.

1. Assumption of Risk

Use of sauna facilities and related wellness experiences involves inherent and significant risks. These risks exist regardless of your age, health, or fitness level and include, without limitation:

• Heat-related risks: Hyperthermia, heat exhaustion, heat stroke, dehydration, fainting, heart attack, cardiac arrest, or death — even in individuals who are otherwise healthy.
• Burns: Skin, respiratory, or other burns from contact with hot surfaces, steam, water, or sauna heating elements.
• Water and slip hazards: Wet and slippery surfaces in and around saunas, showers, cold plunges, rivers, lakes, or other water features, which can cause slipping, falling, drowning, or other serious injury or death.
• Hygiene and infection risks: Bacterial, viral, or fungal exposure from shared or communal facilities, surfaces, water, or other users.
• Personal exposure: Sauna use typically involves minimal clothing or undress. You will be in a state of partial or full undress and in close physical proximity to other people, which carries inherent risk of exposure.
• Conduct of other individuals: SaunaMap does not screen, supervise, or control hosts, guests, or any other person present at a sauna facility. SaunaMap is not responsible for the actions of any other person, including harassment, assault, or sexual assault committed by a host, guest, or third party. Any such act is the sole responsibility of the individual who committed it, not SaunaMap or the host.
• Other risks: Allergic reactions, adverse reactions to heat, steam, or contrast therapy, and any other physical, medical, or psychological harm.

2. Voluntary Participation

You confirm that your participation in this sauna experience is entirely voluntary, and that you are physically and medically able to participate. You are solely responsible for assessing your own physical fitness and health conditions before participating. You are encouraged to consult a medical professional prior to use, particularly if you have cardiovascular conditions, respiratory conditions, pregnancy, or any other health concern.

3. Release and Waiver

BY BOOKING A SAUNA EXPERIENCE THROUGH THIS PLATFORM, YOU CONFIRM THAT YOU HAVE READ AND UNDERSTAND THE RISKS LISTED ABOVE, THAT THESE RISKS ARE OBVIOUS AND INHERENT TO SAUNA USE, AND THAT YOU VOLUNTARILY AND KNOWINGLY ASSUME ALL SUCH RISKS.

YOU RELEASE, WAIVE, AND DISCHARGE SAUNAMAP, THE HOST OF THIS LISTING, AND THEIR RESPECTIVE OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS FROM ANY AND ALL LIABILITY, CLAIMS, DEMANDS, OR CAUSES OF ACTION ARISING FROM YOUR PARTICIPATION IN THIS SAUNA EXPERIENCE, INCLUDING CLAIMS ARISING FROM THE RISKS DESCRIBED ABOVE, TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

This release does not apply to injury or damage caused by gross negligence, recklessness, or intentional misconduct, to the extent such a limitation is required by applicable law.

4. Host-Specific Terms

The host of this listing may provide their own additional rules, requirements, or waivers specific to their sauna ("Host Terms"). If provided, Host Terms are supplemental to this Waiver and to SaunaMap's Terms & Conditions — they may add requirements specific to that sauna but cannot reduce, override, or replace this Waiver. Guests are encouraged to review any Host Terms provided before booking.

5. Acknowledgment

By checking the box to agree during booking, you confirm you are the person who will be participating in this sauna experience (or a parent/legal guardian booking on behalf of a minor participant, where permitted by the host), and that you accept this Waiver on your own behalf and, where applicable, on behalf of any minor in your care attending with you.
